Install once. Unblocked gutters.

A well-designed gutter guard keeps leaves, branches and bird droppings out, sends water away from your home, and adds critical ember protection in bushfire areas.

About this product

Gutter & ember guards for NSW homes.

Even the best steel roof benefits from a properly specified gutter guard. During heavy rain, guards prevent the clogging that causes water to overflow into eaves and ceilings - which is usually where thousands of dollars of water damage start.

MRP supplies and installs gutter and ember guard systems built from COLORBOND® steel - chosen for its ZINCALUME® steel base, fire-resistance and compliance with Australian Standards.

Bushfire & ember protection

According to the Country Fire Authority, around 85% of homes damaged in bushfires are hit by windborne embers and burning debris - not direct flame. Embers can travel up to 5km in strong wind.

Cluttered gutters full of dry leaves are fuel. Unprotected gutters and poorly specified guards are the main reasons embers get into roof cavities and start house fires. The right guard, installed properly, removes both.

03

Ember guards vs gutter guards

Ember guards stop burning embers entering through gaps greater than 3mm. They're made from non-combustible mesh with a hole size of 2mm or smaller, and they're mandatory for new homes in bushfire-prone areas with a BAL rating of 12.5 or higher (AS 3959-2009).

For BAL 12.5, 19 and 29, ember guards can be corrosion-resistant steel, bronze or aluminium. BAL 40 and FZ are limited to corrosion-resistant steel or bronze. Most generic plastic 'gutter guards' don't qualify as ember guards - use a correctly specified product.
